Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Driver to support Alabama routes. You will drive tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering food products to customers on a Mon-Fri schedule with a 4am–6am dispatch window.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Drives a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes delivering food and related products.
• Performs pre/post trip safety inspections and DOT compliance checks.
• Reports safety issues and repairs as required.
• Delivers orders according to predetermined route schedule and obtains customer signatures.
