Job summary

Russel Metals USA Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL driver to safely transport materials and uphold DOT compliance. You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, and coordinate with the shipping team to meet delivery windows.

The role requires at least two years of flat-bed hauling experience, a valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR/PSP, and strong communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of CDL flat-bed hauling experience.
• Valid Class A CDL and clean MVR/PSP.
• English literacy to read tickets, manuals and safety documentation.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Basic measuring skills to read measuring devices.
• Good communication and professional interaction with customers and drivers.
• Demonstrated time management and teamwork.
• Strong judgment and safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to designated delivery points following safety policies.
• Secure loads with straps or chains to prevent movement during transit.
• Check load and ensure all materials are on the truck before departure.
• Maintain records per DOT requirements and company policy.
• Coordinate with Transportation/Shipping for delays, returns, or questions on deliveries.
• Provide professional interaction with customers and maintain a neat appearance.
• Complete required documentation and assist with deliveries as needed.
