$28.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Job Summary

As a Class A CDL Driver, Crane Certified with National Trench Safety, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up trench-related shoring to and from customer job sites safely and efficiently. This role requires operating a truck-mounted crane and adhering to all safety policies and procedures as directed by DOT, FMCSR, and company standards. It is a safety-sensitive position that mandates compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policies and all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally.
• Comply with DOT regulations, including vehicle inspections, maintaining HOS logs, and securing loads according to policies.
• Deliver and pick-up shoring and plates, often multiple loads per day.
• Load and unload trucks on job sites as needed.
• Assemble and disassemble shoring equipment at sites.
• Maintain proper delivery documentation.
• Navigate various driving conditions skillfully.
• Communicate with the branch about delivery schedules and issues.
• Follow safety requirements at customer sites.
• Assist with yard operations and site safety.
• Provide training or guidance to customers regarding shoring equipment.
• Report any equipment damage during pickups.
• Be available for after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and schedule regular maintenance.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to secure loads safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Quick learner with attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience driving Class A vehicles preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL from the State DMV.
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate per FMCSR standards.
• Crane Certification from NCCCO preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification if required.
