Job summary

4-Horn Trench & Shoring in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Full-Time CDL Driver to operate an F-450 with gooseneck trailer, load and move trench safety equipment between branch and client sites, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

You will maintain the vehicle, complete required logs and inspections, uphold DOT standards, and participate in ongoing training. A Class A CDL, clean driving record, and willingness to work overtime are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The CDL Driver operates an F-450 truck with gooseneck trailer to load and move trench safety equipment, to and from branch and client locations in a safe and legal manner. This position ensures that all equipment pick-up and delivery needs of the branch are conducted in an efficient, safe, accurate, and timely manner. This position also manages the maintenance of the vehicle, both inside and out. This position also is required to hold a crane certification.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Loads/unloads equipment, using forklifts, delivering the equipment between branch and client locations
• Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment delivery
• Produce all required service tickets, time sheets, and other work documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
• Produce all DOT inspections, logs, and documentation, as required by law, to branch management as required
• Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work and driving is done in the safest manner
• Maintain truck appearance and maintenance communicating with branch management any vehicle deficiencies
• Maintain all types and levels of job-related training as required
• Performs other duties as required by Management

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Must have a “Class A” CDL
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical and all required drug and alcohol screenings
• Must have a minimum of one-year commercial truck driving experience
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record for insurance coverage purposes
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Must have a basic understanding of truck maintenance concepts
• High school diploma preferred
