Job summary

4-Horn Trench & Shoring is seeking a CDL Driver to operate an F-450 with gooseneck trailer, loading and moving trench safety equipment between branches and client sites. You will ensure efficient, safe, and timely deliveries while maintaining the vehicle and carrying out required certifications.

The role requires a Class A CDL, ability to pass DOT and drug screenings, a minimum of one year of experience, a clean driving record, willingness to work overtime, and crane certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a “Class A” CDL.
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical and all required drug and alcohol screenings.
• Minimum of one year of commercial truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record for insurance purposes.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Basic understanding of truck maintenance concepts.
• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads/unloads equipment and delivers between branch and client locations using forklifts as needed.
• Acts as liaison between customers and branch to meet/exceed equipment delivery expectations.
• Produces service tickets, time sheets, and other work documentation accurately and timely.
• Produces DOT inspections, logs, and documentation as required by law.
• Upholds safety standards and drives in the safest possible manner.
• Maintains truck appearance and communicates deficiencies to management.
• Maintains training on job-related topics as required.
• Performs other duties as required by Management.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The CDL Driver operates an F-450 truck with gooseneck trailer to load and move trench safety equipment, to and from branch and client locations in a safe and legal manner. This position ensures that all equipment pick-up and delivery needs of the branch are conducted in an efficient, safe, accurate, and timely manner. This position also manages the maintenance of the vehicle, both inside and out. This position also is required to hold a crane certification.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Loads/unloads equipment, using forklifts, delivering the equipment between branch and client locations
• Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment delivery
• Produce all required service tickets, time sheets, and other work documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
• Produce all DOT inspections, logs, and documentation, as required by law, to branch management as required
• Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work and driving is done in the safest manner
• Maintain truck appearance and maintenance communicating with branch management any vehicle deficiencies
• Maintain all types and levels of job-related training as required
• Performs other duties as required by Management

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Must have a “Class A” CDL
