Job summary

Pavement Preservation Group, formed by Cactus Asphalt, American Pavement Preservation, and Viking Construction, is seeking CDL Drivers/Operators/Laborers to support asphalt preservation projects across Texas. Full-time positions offer competitive pay based on experience and opportunities to work on diverse job sites.

As a driver, you will maintain vehicles, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, complete required paperwork, and be prepared for longer travel with potential overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with Tanker endorsement and DOT medical card.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience; tanker endorsement preferred.
• Must pass drug test and FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure DOT standards are met.
• Complete vehicle inspection reports and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Be punctual and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and management.
• Load and unload materials and be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Follow directions of superintendent regarding daily tasks and expectations for each project or jobsite.
• Have the ability to work out of town and overtime including weekends, as needed.
• Per Diem for work location more than 50 mile from home

We are looking for:

• Class A CDL Truck Drivers (With Tanker endorsement)

As a Driver you will:

• Complete vehicle inspection reports (and ensure your supervisor is aware of any issues) as well as process required paperwork
• Be prompt and on time for work, and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and management
• Load and unload materials and be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
• Follow directions of superintendent regarding daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite
• Have the ability to work out of town and overtime including weekends, as needed
• Per Diem for work location more than 50 mile from your home

Requirements

• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid state CDL Class A driver's license with Medical DOT card with no active violations within the previous three years
• Must be able to pass a drug test at all times and subject to the FMCSA
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with tanker endorsement preferred
• Ability to frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, extreme weather conditions, and loud noise levels
• Specific vision abilities
• Ability to actively talk, hear, and stay physically active all day
• Must be able to lift and move items up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally
