Job summary

KAS Trucking is seeking an experienced Class A CDL driver to support our customer base and grow with the company. The role focuses on timely and organized freight delivery, route planning, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include transporting goods, maintaining vehicles, planning routes, logging hours, and complying with company policies. Local travel and regular trips are expected, with a local family-owned company atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 24 months of driving experience.
• Ability to plan routes, meet schedules, and document trip logs.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations.

Job description

We are a family owned company that is looking for positive and eager drivers looking to help service our customer base and help us grow with them. We are looking for an experienced Class A CDL truck driver to help serve our customers and deliver their freight in a timely and organized fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions

Skills/requirements:

• Class A CDL with 24 months minimum driving experience
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
