Job description

Since 1967, Tucker Door & Trim has been a well-respected wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and specialty millwork to the construction industry.

Tucker Door & Trim boasts an ever-growing fleet of tractor-trailers making regular deliveries to wholesale customers throughout the Southeastern United States, including Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

We have immediate openings for Class A CDL drivers and invite you to join our team of drivers who build lifelong careers with us.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, safety concerns, and perform pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections.

• Ensure delivery schedules are met as scheduled.

• Retain all necessary documents for each trip.

• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods).

• Ensure compliance with Tucker Door & Trim safety and company policies.

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.

• Immediately report defects, accidents, or violations.

Skills

• At least 18 months of proven truck driving experience within the last 36 months.

• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software.

• No major moving or driving violations within the last year.

• At least 18 months of Class A commercial driving experience.

Physical Requirements

This position requires sitting, standing, entering, and exiting trucks and trailers continuously for long periods. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
