Job summary

Albina Asphalt is seeking a reliable asphalt distributor driver to safely operate a heavy-duty truck, deliver materials to projects in Washington and other states, and follow all safety and paperwork procedures. The role is weather- and season-dependent with potential layoff periods.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, coordinating with the dispatcher, proper loading of asphalt products, and keeping accurate logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
• 2 years of Class A driving with manual transmission experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates a heavy-duty diesel asphalt distributor truck safely in Washington and out-of-state projects.
• Completes pre- and post-trip inspections and proper paperwork.
• Receives daily project assignments from the dispatcher and follows project specs.
• Loads truck with asphalt oil or emulsion using proper procedures and routes to job sites.
• Maintains truck and equipment, reports needed repairs to dispatcher or mechanic.
• Maintains daily log of hours and required timecards and safety reports.
