Job summary

Albina Asphalt is seeking a truck driver to operate an asphalt distributor truck, delivering and applying product to customer specifications across Washington and neighboring states. The role involves weather-dependent work with potential seasonal layoffs.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, coordinate with the dispatcher, and ensure accurate logs and paperwork while maintaining vehicle readiness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
• 2 years Class A driver with manual transmission experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Physical activity including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground.

Responsibilities

• Operates a heavy-duty diesel truck with an asphalt tank and spray bar to deliver asphalt.
• Conduct all pre and post trip safety inspections and paperwork.
• Receive daily project assignments from dispatcher and follow loading procedures.
• Transport loads to assigned projects safely and efficiently.
• Maintain truck and equipment in good working order and report needed repairs.
