Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Bedford is looking for a Class 1 Day Driver (HGV C+E) to operate Tuesday to Saturday with a 10:00 start. The role is based at Marsh Leys, Bedford and offers a permanent full-time contract with a 48-hour week and paid breaks.

You will deliver goods safely and on time, with training provided for wagon and drag duties. Expect driving across the south of England, adhering to hours rules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Must have 6 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Wagon and drag experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely and on time.
• Operate wagon and draw vehicle; training provided.
• Collect and deliver boxes at various delivery sites across the south of England.
• Perform daily vehicle checks.

Pay Rate: £46,658 based on a contracted 48 hour week - Paid breaks

Shift patterns: Tuesday to Saturday - Starts time 10:00

We're now looking for a Class 1 Day Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Duties will be on a wagon and draw vehicle - training provided
• Collection and delivery and collection of boxes at various home delivery sites across the south of England
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
