Qualifications

• 1 year of Geriatric Psych Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply medical decision-making skills for mental health issues.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Role Overview

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP, PA‑C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Idaho and Washington. Our team specializes in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM‑V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision‑making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non‑pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Idaho and Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Idaho and Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
• 1 year of Geriatric Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
