Provides dementia care including adapted ADLs, meaningful engagement, and communication to residents following a person-centered individual service plan. Treats residents with respect and dignity, recognizes individual needs, and encourages independence. Fosters a purposeful and engaging culture throughout the community.
Assists residents and provides input regarding the care plan and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and attending programs and meals, following the individual service plan and interventions. Partners with residents to promote independence, encouraging them to perform as much of their own care as possible.
Participates in team behavioral expression meetings or discussions with community leadership. Knows residents' Life Stories, preferences, routines, and interests.
Serves meals in the dining room and may assist in meal preparation following dementia-friendly menus. Encourages residents to eat properly and hydrate adequately, respecting their right to free choice. Records and reports any changes in eating habits to the supervisor.
Initiates and/or leads at least one Daily Path engagement program based on residents' Life Stories or calendar. Encourages socialization and participation in person-centered programs, fostering friendships among residents.
Maintains accurate residents' records daily, including documentation related to medication, engagement activities, incidents, observations, and changes in physical or emotional condition. Reports any health or behavioral changes promptly.
If permitted by state regulations, may assist with medication administration following physician orders and medication policies. Follows all relevant laws and procedures.
Ensures a clean, safe, and orderly environment, performing housekeeping tasks as per schedules. Responds promptly to emergencies and resident requests, including monitoring resident location and notifying supervisors if a resident is unaccounted for.
Promotes teamwork through cooperative interactions with colleagues. Performs all duties as assigned by supervisors, adhering to the job overview and responsibilities.

Applicants' skills and experience will determine the starting salary within the range of $16.00 to $17.73 per hour. The position is eligible for team-based bonuses. Benefits eligibility varies; temporary associates may not be benefits-eligible but can participate in the 401(k) plan.
