Job summary

Southern Champion Tray (SCT) is seeking a Tray Former Operator for the 1st shift on a 5-day schedule in Chattanooga, TN. The role focuses on learning and operating clamshell forming machines to produce high-quality cardboard cartons while following safety and 5S practices.

Responsibilities include machine setup, adjustments for safety and efficiency, and accurate logging of production data. Strong basic computer skills and English literacy are required to perform duties and document results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have basic computer skills and mechanical ability.
• Must read and understand documents in English and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and set up the clamshell forming machines to meet quality standards.
• Adjust machines to maintain safety, quality and production targets.
• Log production data, downtime, and remarks using the computer system.
• Inspect printed cartons for accuracy and correct production problems with supervisor guidance.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work area following safety and 5S principles.
