Job summary

SIMOS is hiring full-time Clamp Forklift Operators in Jacksonville, FL. The role requires at least one year of recent warehouse experience and comfort with a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment.

Export loading experience and use of clamps are important, with overtime and possible six-day weeks, plus weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. The position demands the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, operate in freezer areas, and pass an on-site driving test.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cross-train and support multiple departments.
• Know basic math and able to read instructions and labels.

Join the SIMOS Team! We're hiring full-time Clamp Forklift Operators with at least one year of recent warehouse experience. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment.

Export loading experience is required, including:

• Container stripping, stuffing, loading, and unloading
• Transloading and cross-docking
• Port-related export cargo and oversized pallet movement
• Export shipments and warehouse forklift handling

Experience using cotton clamps, slip-sheet attachments, or drum pickers is preferred.

Schedule and Pay

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
• $19.00 per hour
• Must be flexible to work up to six days per week
• Mandatory overtime is required

Candidates must pass an on-site driving test, support multiple departments, work in freezer areas, and wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes.

Duties:

• 1 YEAR OF SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Be able to cross-train and support multiple departments
• Perform various functions and duties, both written and oral
• Assists in loading and unloading trucks and inspects product for loading
• Knowledge of basic math
• Performs all other general labor duties assigned
• Stacks and palletizes non-perishable bulk products
• Picks and stores orders
• Reaches overhead, twists, turns, and squats
• The warehouse is a high-traffic area, and employees must be able to work independently while remaining focused.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs solo and up to 150 lbs as a team

Position Requirements:

• Abides by company safety rules
• Follows safety rules for Forklift operation
• Visual capacity to clearly recognize, read, and understand standard operating procedures, signs, part number labels, and instructions.
• Ability to see/hear and distinguish sounds and signs that alert, instruct, or notify one of danger, such as warning signs, horns, alarms, speech, and vehicular/pedestrian traffic
• Zero tolerance for cell phones on the floor
• Non-climate-controlled building
• Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old. Able to Lift 75 pounds., required education: No Education Requirement.
