You will learn claims software, build investigative and communication skills, manage reserves, and handle complex documents.

Qualifications

• Clear communication, both written and verbal, required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math to calculate monetary reserves and adjust as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom training on workers’ compensation claims handling and legal concepts.
• Learn to use claims management software and databases for claims handling and reporting.
• Read and interpret statutes, regulations, medical records, and other claim documents.
• Manage medical treatment to balance care quality with cost control.
• Develop persuasive communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• Evaluate facts, write clear reports, and update action plans.
• Determine reserves for each claim and adjust as needed.
• Handle litigation processes for litigated claims.
• Review eligibility and authorize benefit payments.
• Communicate with internal/external sources by phone and email.
