An established industry player is seeking Claims Technicians for a home-based role. This position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service while managing a claims portfolio. You will engage with various external partners, including insurance companies and brokers, ensuring smooth communication and support. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you excel in this back-office support function. If you're passionate about customer service and eager to learn in the insurance sector, this role is perfect for you, offering a collaborative environment and the chance to grow your career.
Claims Technician
Barker Munro is working with this leading global claims company who are currently looking to recruit a team of Claims Technicians for their home-based claims unit.
As a Claims Technician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to a range of external partners including insurance companies, solicitors, brokers, and direct policyholders, relating to queries on their claims. You will proactively drive your claims portfolio, maintain a diary system, arrange payments, and produce detailed reports and letters to external partners.
You will be given a comprehensive training plan over the initial few months, which will include working in a classroom environment, where required, along with on-the-job training with your 'buddy' to enable you to fully understand the dynamics of the role and the industry.
Once trained, you will work as a Claims Technician as part of a close-knit team handling claims related to insurance property claims. This is not a call centre role; it is much more aligned to a back-office support function but includes important telephone contact work as required.
We have successfully placed a variety of candidates into these roles over the last few years due to expansion. They will consider claims candidates, candidates who possess insurance knowledge, or A-level/Graduate trainees. To be considered for the role of Claims Technician, you must demonstrate strong customer service skills, take ownership of your workload, and possess confident communication skills. Previous involvement within a customer service office environment is key, and any exposure to the insurance industry would be considered a bonus but is not essential.
This is a fully immersive home-based role.
