Role Description
The Auto/Work Comp Claims Specialist will do Insurance Verification for new Auto and Work Comp cases,manage ongoing Auto and Work Comp cases, and work with attorneys handling these type of accounts. Youwill work with a number of different softwares and websites/accounts and will also assist with Medical RecordsCompilation. Auto and Work Comp cases many times have records requests that need to be compiled forinsurance companies and attorneys.
In addition, you will all be making insurance verification phone calls and insurance card data entry.
You will work from home and work with other staff remotely. This job position is in the healthcare field and willrequire member to adhere to HIPAA policies as well as company security and privacy policies. This job positionis considered a part-time position although it will most likely turn into a full-time position. Hours will fluctuatefrom week to week.
Because part of your job will require you to make phone calls, you will need to be willing to work during U.Sbusiness hours between 7am and 6pm Central Standard Time (UTC-6 hours). Employees have flexibility in theirwork schedule for tasks that do not involve direct interaction with U.S.-based businesses, such as computerbased work or tasks that are not time-sensitive. These tasks can be completed at any time that suits yourschedule.
However, for responsibilities that require calling U.S.-based businesses, participating in live Zoom meetings withyour manager, or addressing time-sensitive questions or issues, you will need to be available during standardU.S. business hours to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
The main categories of tasks you will need to perform include:
• Ongoing claim management
• Medical records compilation
• Insurance verification calls and insurance card entry
• Rebills phone calls
• Rebill work on online portals
Skills
• Must be able to speak and write in English exceptionally well. This is a must!
• Must have excellent phone skills for conversing with U.S. based people. Making phone calls to U.S. basedbusinesses will be a significant and important part of your job.
• Must be confident on the phone; be well prepared with required information, manage the conversationefficiently, and ask detailed, relevant questions, including those beyond the initial scope, to collect allnecessary information. At times, you will need to be persistent and determined.
• Must be willing to work during U.S. business hours for making phone calls to U.S. based companies.
• Must have good communication skills to communicate remotely with your manager and team.
• General computer skills. Must be comfortable with technology and working with and learning differentsoftwares.
Experience
Past experience is valued, but not required. We will provide training on our system, procedures, and softwaretools.

• Honest and Trustworthy: You will have access to sensitive doctor/provider data. You will have access tomany online accounts. We need a trustworthy person that will only use the information in order to performtheir work duties. We reserve the right to do a background check on all new hires.
• Accurate: Accuracy is very important with this job! Correct data must be entered. If sloppy mistakes aremade, it affects the reputation of AIB, money is lost, etc.
• Persistent and Determined: We are not looking for a shy, timid person! We need a person that is focusedand determined to get the information required.
Tools Needed
You will need the following tools at a minimum to work for Advocate.
• New or “newer” computer, less than 3 years old
• Windows 10 Pro (not just Windows 10) or newer operating system. If using a Mac, macOS 14 Sonoma ornewer.
• Cybersecurity software installed on your computer. This type of software protects your computer formviruses, ransomware, malware, and more.
• New or “newer” smartphone, preferably less than 3 years old
• Quality headset for making phone calls, zoom.com meetings, recording training videos, etc.
• Dependable, fast Internet service
