Elevance Health in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Claims Representative I (Health & Dental) to join a hybrid workforce. The role trains on-site for the first 2 days, then mostly virtual, with 12-week training and a start date planned for 11/2/2026.

Responsibilities include coding and processing claims, researching issues, and working under supervision. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and basic PC/database experience to support payment

Location: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development.

Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.

This position requires on-site attendance for the first 2 days of training, with the remainder of the program conducted virtually.

Full attendance (100%) is required during the entire 12 -week training period.

Tentative Start date: 11/2/2026

Training Hours: 8AM - 4:30 PM EST (12-week training)

Post training Shift Hours: 8-hour shift starting between 7:30AM -9:00AM EST (M-F)

The Claims Representative I (Health & Dental) is responsible for successfully completing the required basic training. Able to perform basic job functions with help from co-workers, specialists and managers on non-basic issues. Must pass the appropriate pre-employment test battery.
