Responsibilities:

• Conducts correspondence related to client requests for information
• Evaluates available information to validate claims
• Verifies contract information, effective dates, status, and claim eligibility
• Identifies need for additional information and contacts appropriate sources to obtain it
• Verifies beneficiary or claimant information when warranted
• Determines payment amounts and secures necessary management approvals
• Investigates moderate to highly complex claims, determines resolution levels, advises claimants, and assists in negotiations
• Handles demand letters, researches claims, responds appropriately, and escalates when necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• 3+ years of insurance/claims processing experience
• Experience with insurance and/or medical terminology
• Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fellowship of Life Health Claims (FLHC) Certification
• Knowledge of PowerBi

Work Environment:

• Remote work from home within the United States
• Applicants must have work authorization without future visa sponsorship needs

Compensation ranges from $35,000 to $65,000, influenced by experience and organizational factors. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including health, dental, vision, wellness programs, life/disability insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave.
