Job Summary

In this leadership role, you'll guide a team of Workers' Compensation Claims Representatives and technical staff, helping them deliver exceptional service while driving strong claim outcomes. You'll provide direction on claim strategy, support professional development, and create an environment where people can do their best work.

Work Location

This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations. Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events.

In this role, you'll oversee a team handling workers' compensation claims from investigation through resolution, serving as a trusted resource on complex claim matters while providing coaching and support to help team members grow in their careers. You'll have the opportunity to influence both day-to-day claim operations and larger department initiatives, using data, trends, and performance insights to identify opportunities for improvement and celebrate team successes.

Beyond claims expertise, we're seeking a leader who enjoys developing people. Whether it's mentoring adjusters, guiding performance conversations, building team capability, or helping employees reach their next career milestone, you'll play a key role in fostering a high-performing and engaged team.

The ideal candidate brings several years of workers' compensation claim handling experience, proven leadership success, and the ability to balance customer service, claim quality, and business results. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style are essential.

Professional designations such as AIC, AINS, CPCU, or other continuing education are valued, along with a bachelor's degree in a related field and any required claims licensing.

Salary Statement

The salary range for this position is $110,000-$137,000.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
