Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Director of Claims, the Claims Manager oversees the daily management of claims and provides strategic oversight of medical malpractice liability claims for USACS.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and analyze incidents and claims.
2. Support physicians and APPs impacted by litigation and complaints.
3. Coordinate new claims analysis and collaborate with TPA or adjusters.
4. Maintain accurate claims records and oversee case management strategies.
5. Work with defense counsel on mediations and trials.
6. Respond to discovery requests and contribute to risk management efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Broad knowledge of legal principles related to professional liability litigation.
• Experience in claims management and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and organize effectively.
• Proficiency with computer systems and claims management software.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in law or liability insurance.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged sitting, occasional walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds.

Salary Range:

$68,315 - $126,383, based on experience and qualifications.
