Job summary

Brown & Brown Absence Services Group is hiring a Claims Management Associate to join our SSDI team. You will learn our systems, handle a high volume of client interactions, and develop judgment as you progress through the claims process. This developmental role leads toward independent caseload management under a Client Advocate.

Remote or in-office work is available, with a standard 40-hour week, and a 3-week training period beginning on 10/13/2026. A supportive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in claims management or similar.
  • Experience with SSDI or disability claims preferred.
  • Strong communication and service orientation.

Brown & Brown Absence Services Group is hiring a Claims Management Associate to join our Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) team. As a Claims Management Associate, you’ll learn our systems, build real expertise in the SSDI claims process, and develop the skills that drive success here: juggling a high volume of client interactions, exercising sound judgment on each claim, and staying organized as priorities shift throughout the day. This position is designed as a developmental pathway to the Client Advocate role where you will independently manage a caseload of clients and guide them through the SSDI claims process.

  • Drive claims forward across every touchpoint.
  • Regularly interface with clients, colleagues, & government agencies to drive successful claim outcomes and create a positive client experience.
  • Handle key steps throughout the duration of a claim - including, but not limited to: inbound/outbound transactional calls, reviewing claim files, and communicating with the assigned Client Advocate.
  • Effectively manage an assigned phone queue & multi-task.
  • Deliver clear, efficient service on every call.
  • Provide patient customer service on every client call, ensuring clients feel well-informed while moving through calls efficiently.
  • Be sensitive to the various physical and mental health conditions clients may be experiencing when discussing their claim over the phone.
  • Complete applications and other key claim documents thoroughly and comprehensively.
  • Support our client advocacy team by building positive, trusting relationships.
Essential duties and skills needed
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong verbal communication and telephone skills.
  • Excellent typing, data entry, and documentation skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technology.
  • Work, or related field preferred Experience managing a high volume of inbound and outbound client interactions in a fast-paced environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing claims or cases through multi-step processes, ideally within Social Security, disability, or a related claims environment.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable case management/CRM platform to track and progress high-volume caseloads preferred.

Pay Range

18 - 18 Hourly. The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
