Overview

Claims Investigator (Part-Time)

Location: Los Angeles, CA area

Responsibilities

• Conduct multiple types of complex claims investigations
• Submit daily updates on case progress
• Manage time effectively
• Maintain client billable hours
• Write and record detailed statements
• Conduct scene investigations and background checks
• Submit professional investigative reports
• Ensure safe driving and alertness during travel

Requirements

• License or eligibility to be licensed as a Private Investigator in California and surrounding states
• At least 1 year of report writing experience in field investigations
• Experience with face-to-face statements and field investigations
• Willingness to travel within a multi-state area
• Experience in investigating various claims (auto, liability, workers' comp, etc.)
• Flexible working hours, including nights and weekends
• Reliable vehicle with insurance
• Necessary equipment (digital recorder, laptop with Windows, Microsoft Word)

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
• Experience as Private Investigator, detective, military, or law enforcement
• Knowledge of insurance law and underwriting
• Detail-oriented, accountable, adaptable, and able to work under stress
• Typing speed of 50+ words per minute
