Job summary

HartleyCo is expanding its Dallas operation with a property claims handler who gains greater ownership and faster progression than typical carriers. You will own property claims from first notification through settlement, including coverage review, reserves, policyholder communication, and coordinating with contractors and experts.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of property claims experience across buildings, contents, renters, homeowners or commercial exposure, and can manage

Job description

I’m partnering with a well-funded, AI-enabled claims business that is building its Dallas operation after raising over $16M and winning significant insurer and MGA adoption.

They are looking for a property claims handler who wants more ownership and faster progression than a traditional carrier normally offers.

You will own property claims from first notification through settlement, including:

• Coverage review
• Reserves and settlement
• Policyholder communication
• Contractors, adjusters and external experts
• Fraud and subrogation indicators
• Accurate, audit-ready files
• Process and service improvements

You must have:

• At least three years of property claims experience
• Buildings, contents, renters, homeowners or commercial property exposure
• Experience personally managing claims end to end
• The ability to work hybrid in Dallas
• US work authorisation

This will suit someone who is ambitious, organised and comfortable being judged on the quality of their work rather than their tenure.

Alongside the base salary, the package includes a quarterly performance bonus, stock options, medical insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) with a 5% company match.
