ClaimSorted in downtown Dallas is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to own complex commercial GL and property files from day one, with five days in the office.

You will review policy wordings, determine coverage, manage reserves, mentor junior handlers, and help scale the team as the book grows. This is a high-performance role offering training and opportunity to advance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial GL and property claims experience.
• Texas All-Lines Adjuster license, home state TX.
• Strong coverage analysis skills with ability to defend positions.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial GL and property claims end to end from NOI to settlement.
• Review wordings, verify coverage, and make coverage determinations.
• Investigate liability and damages, coordinating experts as needed.
• Communicate with insureds, brokers, and carrier partners.
• Set reserves and manage claims within authority, escalate when needed.
• Manage litigated files and defence counsel to resolution.
• Mentor junior handlers and contribute to process improvements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Handle complex commercial GL and property claims end to end: from first notification of loss through to settlement

• Review policy wordings, verify coverage, and make well-reasoned coverage determinations
• Investigate and assess liability and damages, coordinating experts, engineers, and loss adjusters where needed
• Communicate with insureds, brokers, and carrier partners throughout the claims journey
• Set appropriate reserves and manage claims within your authority, escalating clearly and early where you need to
• Manage litigated files and defence counsel, driving to resolution
• Maintain accurate and thorough claims records for audit and compliance
• Act as a technical reference point for less experienced handlers, and contribute to continuous improvement by flagging process inefficiencies

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Willing to work 5 days in office in Dallas (in our amazing new office Downtown)
• 5+ years of commercial claims experience across general liability and property
• Texas All-Lines Adjuster license, with Texas designated as your home state
• Strong coverage analysis skills and confidence taking a position and defending it
• Strong organisation and ability to prioritise independently
• Comfortable using data to make decisions
• Team-oriented, hardworking, and ambitious
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching others, and the ambition to manage a team
• Startup or high-growth experience is a plus
