Job summary

Pronto Insurance is seeking a skilled auto adjuster to estimate parts and labor and assess vehicle damage in accordance with industry standards. The role involves analyzing structural, mechanical, and electrical damage, evaluating repair practicality, and determining salvage value for total-loss claims.

Strong communication with supervisors and teams is essential, along with basic computer literacy and licensing preferences.

Qualifications

• Texas P&C Adjuster License preferred or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Estimate parts and labor to repair damage using standard automotive cost manuals and knowledge of repair.
• Identify objects, actions, and events by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances.
• Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.
• Evaluate practicality of repair versus market value before accident.
• Determine salvage value on total-loss vehicle.
• Obtain information from all relevant sources and communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates via telephone, email, or in person.

Job description

• Starting Pay: Based on experience & education
• Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00 (can vary depending on projects, assignments and other tasks)

Job Responsibilities:

• Estimate parts and labor to repair damage, using standard automotive labor and parts cost manuals and knowledge of automotive repair.
• Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events - Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
• Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.
• Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of market value of vehicle before accident.
• Determine salvage value on total-loss vehicle.
• Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
