Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex legal claims, providing strategic advice on claim handling, litigation, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with internal claims teams, external counsel, and stakeholders to ensure effective claim resolution.
• Analyze legal claims, evaluate settlement opportunities, and develop litigation strategies.
• Represent the company in mediations, depositions, and court proceedings as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Georgia or Florida.
• At least 3 years of experience as an attorney, including civil jury trial experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in defending first-party litigation.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting for extended periods, working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and navigate organizational premises.
