Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

• Interest in insurance, healthcare, or law is desirable.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Ability to enter data accurately from multiple sources.

• Excellent customer service, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and review claim files to identify data points.

• Collaborate with Coverys Claims and IT teams as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Gathering and review of claim files to identify various critical data points.
• Review of weekly and monthly reports to assess status of claim files and timely entry of data.
• Review case files to determine if case remains active and determine disposition status.
• Gather, verify, and correct data for import into Claim system.
• Partner and communicate with Coverys Claims department and members of IT team as needed.
• Accurately enter information into claim management software platform and/or other IT systems.
• Attend and observe litigation related events including depositions, mediations and/or trials.
• Conduct periodic observation and shadowing of Claim Consultants and the day-to-day handling of claim files.

Education, Requirements & Competencies

• Must be a current student working towards a bachelor’s degree.
• Business focus preferred.
• An interest in insurance, healthcare, law or law school is desirable.
• General knowledge and experience with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams) required.
• Demonstrated ability to enter data accurately from multiple sources.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
