Qualifications

• 2 years of billing or business experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year working in office setting providing customer service.
• Facility billing experience preferred.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience with Ritten EHR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily preparation, review, and submission of insurance claims.
• Assist with client collections and follow-up activities.
• Obtain prior authorizations and provide required medical necessity documentation to insurance companies.
• Research and follow up with payers regarding claim rejections and denials.
• Provide accurate documentation required for claims processing.
• Submit claim status inquiries through payer portals.
• Communicate with insurance companies by phone regarding claims, benefits, and coverage.
• Prepare and submit corrected claims as needed.
• Verify client insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefit information.
• Maintain accurate records and professional notes in patient files.
• Meet daily productivity and performance goals as outlined by Billing Department Manager.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct in office environment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and address concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
