Altom Transport is an elite commercial trucking carrier specializing in hauling a wide range of commodities, from hazardous materials to general lubricants and oils. We are looking for a dynamic Claims & Risk Specialist to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with multiple facets of the company, contributing to a culture of safety, efficiency, and exceptional service. As the Claims & Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing risk and insurance claims while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations. You will report directly to the Director of Claims and Risk Management and will have opportunities to travel occasionally (less than 10%).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Commercial General Liability, Workers' Compensation, 1st Party Claims, 3rd Party Claims, Litigation, Cargo, and Pollution claims.
2. Support Risk Management initiatives to minimize company liability.
3. Assist Owner-Operators with insurance coverages.
4. Collaborate with teams to participate in Root Cause Analysis and recommend actionable improvements.
5. Attend and contribute to quarterly safety meetings on-site.
6. Generate and analyze monthly reports related to claims and risks.
7. Interpret and understand complex insurance policies and agreements.
8. Maintain meticulous documentation and ensure compliance with all claims processes.
9. Learn and utilize a variety of company-specific programs and tools.
10. Proactively manage time and tasks to meet deadlines effectively.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
8. Flexibility to travel on short notice when needed.
