Job summary

Southern Company Gas is seeking an administrative claims support professional to accelerate intake, triage, and setup of general liability, workers' compensation, and vehicle accident claims, while supporting leadership and the Claims team.

Responsibilities include processing payments, managing the department email, maintaining accurate data in Oracle and GCMA|CC&B, coordinating meetings, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate In Claims (AIC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake, triage, set-up and assignment of general liability, workers' compensation, and vehicle accident claims.
• Pay vendor invoices related to department expenses.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain detailed records.
• Assist Claims Assistant Supervisor with coordination of Cristo Rey Atlanta Corporate Work Study Program.
• Schedule and coordinate department meetings and catering as needed.
• Provide overall support for meetings and communicate with stakeholders.
• Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Prepare reports and documentation as required.
• Process payments for the Claims Department including workers' compensation medical bills.
• Manage the claims 800 line and email box.
• Open and distribute mail including FedEx; establish/maintain accounts.
• Filing and overseeing retention-related projects.
