Fortegra is seeking a Property Claims Adjuster to handle investor and forced placement claims in the Jacksonville, FL area. The role emphasizes prompt service, detailed investigations, and adherence to file quality standards.

You will maintain communication with agents, insureds, and team members while meeting licensing and continuing education requirements. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with preferred familiarity in multi-line claims, construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional education or experience required.
• Multi-line technical and administrative experience preferred.
• General construction knowledge preferred.
• IIA, AEI or other approved industry coursework (i.e. AIC, SCLA, CPCU) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide prompt service and detailed investigations in the handling of claims
• Maintain a diary system to ensure prompt conclusion of claims
• Follow file quality standards
• Maintain effective contact with agents, insureds, and company personnel
• Fulfill adjuster licensing requirements and any required state continuing education
• Meet or exceed unit/departmental performance goals
• Determine proper indemnity payments through utilization of estimate reviews to include: desks adjustments, depreciation application, evaluation of Personal Property Claims

The Claims Adjuster, Property will primarily be responsible for the handling of investor and forced placement claims within the unit and will handle other claims as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional education or experience required.
• Multi-line technical and administrative experience preferred.
• General construction knowledge preferred.
• IIA, AEI or other approved industry coursework (i.e. AIC, SCLA, CPCU) preferred.

• Maintain effective contact with agents, insureds, and company personnel
• Fulfill adjuster licensing requirements and any required state continuing education
• Meet or exceed unit/departmental performance goals
• Determine proper indemnity payments through utilization of estimate reviews to include:
  • Desk adjustments
  • Determine and apply proper depreciation to applicable items
  • Evaluate Personal Property Claims
