Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an onsite Claims Adjuster I in Omaha, Nebraska. You will investigate, evaluate, and settle claims related to vehicle and property damage, working under the Claims Supervisor to determine denials, compromises, or payments.

The role requires thorough investigations, adherence to policy, and protection of proprietary information while supporting our customers with timely resolutions. This is a fully onsite position in Omaha, NE.

• Obtain authorization from Claims Supervisor to pay claims exceeding authority.
• Uphold the integrity of proprietary information during investigations.

This is a fully onsite position located in Omaha, Nebraska.

Under the direction of the Claims Supervisor, the Claims Adjuster I is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and settlement (either by denial, compromise or payment) of claims arising from physical damages to vehicles, property of customers and third parties (property damage claims, small bodily injury claims and limited personal injury protection).

Job Duties:

• Obtains necessary authorization from the Claims Supervisor to pay claims in excess of authority.
• Performs a variety of duties which require in-depth knowledge of risks under management, product offered, and insurance investigation techniques working within the claim's office.
• Must maintain integrity of proprietary information.
