Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a claims professional to join our remote team handling auto subrogation claims in Michigan. You will apply experience to assess exposure, decide on actions, and resolve claims while showing empathy for claimants and clients.

The role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, adherence to policies and ethics, and timely documentation of activity; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and remote work is supported for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience handling auto subrogation claims.
• Jurisdiction: Michigan.
• Active adjusters' licenses not required, but preferred to have all-lines or auto license.

Responsibilities

• Apply claims management experience to analyze claims exposure, plan the proper course of action, and resolve claims.
• Interact with parties involved in the claim process to ensure effective communication and resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service to claimants exhibiting empathy through each step of the claims process.
• Handle claims in accordance with client and company policies, procedures, and standard methodologies.
• Document and communicate claim activity timely and efficiently, supporting the outcome of the claim file.

How you'll make an impact

• Apply claims management experience to execute decision-making to analyze claims exposure, plan the proper course of action, and appropriately resolve claims.
• Interact extensively with various parties involved in the claim process to ensure effective communication and resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service to our claimants on behalf of our clients exhibiting empathy through each step of the claims process.
• Handle claims consistent with clients' and corporate policies, procedures, and standard methodologies in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements.
• Document and communicate claim activity timely and efficiently, supporting the outcome of the claim file.

About You

Ideal candidates for this position will have:

• Claims Background: Minimum of 2 years' experience handling auto subrogation claims
• Jurisdictional Experience: Michigan
• Active Adjusters' licenses: Not required, but preferred to have either all lines or auto adjusters license

Requirements:

• High school diploma and 2 years related claims experience required. Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled or able to obtain the licenses/certification per local requirements.
• Auto Subrogation background. Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
