Job summary

Doutbless Pet Insurance Partnerships - North America is seeking a Claims Adjuster-Associate who will report to the Supervisor, Claims. The Claims Adjuster-Associate investigates, evaluates, and settles insurance claims and determines policy coverage for the claimed loss and appropriate compensation.

This role supports communicating with clients and providers, updating EOBs, and may order medical records while contributing to efficient claim resolution. Remote-USA work option available.

Qualifications

• 1 year relevant experience working in a veterinary clinic.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one year college).
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).

Responsibilities

• Works closely with veterinary hospitals, and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet's medical history to determine a baseline of health.
• Investigates and processes assigned insurance claims, verifies coverage, and compensation amounts, per insurance policy.
• Updates Explanation of Benefits (EOB), pays and closes claim.
• May order medical records from providers.
• May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position: Days and hours to be determined by needs of business. Hours to be determined between employee and director.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $22 per hour. This is the rate we reasonably expect to pay at hire. This position is non-exempt and eligible for over time. Base pay is one part of a total rewards package that includes the benefits listed below.
