Placements24 is seeking a diligent and experienced Claims Adjuster for a hybrid role in Gauteng, SA. You will investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims, coordinating with policyholders and specialists to ensure fair resolutions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of claims experience, strong negotiation skills, and capable use of claims software. This position offers home-based and office work flexibility within a hybrid team.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Claims Adjuster in property or casualty insurance.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures, and legislation.

Responsabilités

• Investigate claims by gathering information through interviews, reviewing documents, and inspecting damaged property.
• Evaluate liability and determine the coverage provided by the policy.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and/or their representatives in accordance with policy terms and company guidelines.
• Manage a caseload of claims from initial reporting to final resolution, ensuring timely processing and communication.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting the investigation, findings, and settlement of claims.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Claims Adjuster to join their growing team in Tembisa, Gauteng, ZA . This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both from home and in our modern office facilities. You will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims efficiently and fairly. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong investigative skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to policyholders during their time of need. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of insurance policies and claims processes, with a proven ability to manage a caseload effectively. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and upholding the integrity of our claims handling process.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate insurance claims by gathering information through interviews, reviewing documents, and inspecting damaged property.
• Evaluate the extent of liability and determine the coverage provided by the insurance policy.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and/or their representatives in accordance with policy terms and company guidelines.

Requirements

• A Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification is advantageous.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Claims Adjuster, preferably in property or casualty insurance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in claims management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for claim inspections as required.
