Job summary

Intact Insurance Group is seeking a Claim Operations Supervisor to lead our Claim Operations team in Canton, MA or Denver, CO on a hybrid schedule. You will supervise staff, set goals, and ensure quality and timely processing of claims in line with corporate objectives.

The role requires 3–5 years in claims, including 1–3 years in supervision, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a track record of delivering high performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of claim operations staff, guiding and training.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, workload distribution, prioritization, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure timely, accurate processing of loss and expense payments per policies and SLAs.
• Review complex issues and resolve escalations in line with guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and address training needs.

The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Claim Operations Supervisor to join our Claim Operations team based in our Canton, MA or Denver, CO office on a hybrid schedule. This position is responsible for supervising the Claim operations department within the company. Accountable for setting and achieving the department goals and objectives relating to workflow, customer service, and quality in line with corporate goals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of claim operations staff, prioritizing and assigning work, providing guidance, training and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
• Oversees day-to-day operations of the teams’ activities including workload distribution of new claims, prioritization, reporting, and monitoring performance.
• Ensures timely and accurate processing of loss and expense payments adhering to company policies, industry regulations, and service level agreements.
• Review and approve complex or escalated issues, resolving issues and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments, to streamline processes, resolve customer inquiries, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any training or development needs of the team.
• Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices related to claim processing, and ensure compliance within the department.
• Anticipates and meets all customer needs (internal and external).
• Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits

Our salary ranges are determined by factors including location, role, experience, and skillset. The typical base salary range for this position is $69,000 - $97,000. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; Massachusetts; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $87,000 - $101,000. In addition to base salary, full‑time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits, including:
