Primary Responsibilities
- Handle claims by assembling job files and validating that all documentation has been received from the field.
- Prepare estimates for customers and insurance through insurance software and generate job file reports as needed.
- Complete and execute job file documentation for insurance and/or customers during job close‑outs.
- Coordinate and manage claim disputes with insurance carriers.
- Ensure claims are handled with care and customers are satisfied with service, maintaining no gaps in communication.
- Maintain constant and transparent communication with adjusters to ensure adjuster comfort regarding claims.
- Handle associated jobs to ensure file integrity and that the job is closed out properly and ready for invoicing.
- Manage escalated customer issues, resolve complex problems, and ensure customers are satisfied with the resolution.
- Coordinate and manage the customer’s insurance claim process.
Position Requirements
- 2+ years of administrative or office‑related experience.
- 2+ years of insurance‑related experience using Xactimate is preferred.
- Experience writing estimates, job file processes, and quality assurance is a plus.
- Experience in the service industry, specifically emergency services (water/fire restoration), is a plus.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, proper pronunciation and grammar, and a consistently courteous and professional tone.
- Polite, confident, and excellent customer service skills, including listening and questioning.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during tense or stressful situations.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Very self‑motivated and goal‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Capability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to learn new software.
- Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
Hours
- 40 hours per week, flexible to work overtime when required.
