The Mission
As a CJ3 SIC, you’ll assist the Pilot-in-Command through all phases of flight and take primary operational ownership of the customer-service components of each leg. You’ll help deliver safe, efficient, and memorable experiences on every trip while upholding our standards, policies, and culture of safety.
What You’ll Do
- Perform thorough pre- and post-flight walk-around inspections before and after each flight.
- Assist the PIC in all phases of flight per company policies and procedures; assume responsibility for the safety of passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft if the PIC becomes incapacitated.
- Lead customer-service operations for each leg: coordinate passenger pick-up/drop-off, refueling, customs, private-hangar access and communications, and catering in accordance with the P&P Manual.
- Comply with all applicable FARs, Company Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies.
- Update flight and duty records, verify eligibility for next assignments, and report/log aircraft maintenance discrepancies per operating policy.
- Proactively engage in our safety and quality systems: identify, report, and help mitigate hazards and quality issues; complete other duties and special projects as assigned by the PIC.
What You Bring
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Certificates: ATP (unrestricted or restricted) with multi-engine rating.
- Minimum Flight Time: 2,500 hours total time; 500 hours multi-engine land.
- Recent Part 135 Qualifications:
- Passed oral/written exam within preceding 12 months per FAR 135.293(a) (administered by an FAA-approved Advanced Air Check Airman or the Administrator’s representative).
- Completed competency check in type within preceding 12 months per FAR 135.293(b).
- Completed 6-month IFR proficiency check per FAR 135.297.
- Completed enroute check per FAR 135.299.
- Location: Reside within two hours of HHR and commit to Advanced Air for 18 months.
- Physical Capability: Work in confined spaces; manipulate, push, pull, and lift objects in excess of 150 lbs; climb onto/off aircraft wing (pre/postflight or over-wing emergency exit); demonstrate fine digital dexterity for pre/postflight; fly legs up to 4.5 hours and up to 10 total flight hours per day within a 14-hour duty period.
- Mindset: Customer-service focused communicator with a proactive safety ethos and strong attention to detail.
