Advanced Air in Hawthorne, CA, seeks a Dornier 328JET First Officer (SIC) to join a tight-knit flight team. You will operate high-performance regional jets, uphold safety standards, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while managing duties across the route network.

Based in Hawthorne, you will maintain flight records, coordinate duties, and comply with FARs and SOPs. A strong aviation mindset and a one-year commitment to Advanced Air are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ATP Unrestricted and Multi-Engine certificates required.
• 1,500 hours Total Time minimum.
• 500 hours Cross-Country minimum.
• 250 hours PIC minimum.
• 100 hours Night minimum.
• 75 hours Instrument (50 actual) minimum.
• 50 hours Multi-Engine minimum.
• 300 hours PIC Turbine minimum.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough pre- and post-flight visual inspections and assist the PIC in all phases of flight per company P&P and SOPs.
• Uphold the highest safety standards and assume primary responsibility for passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft if the PIC is incapacitated.
• Own the customer-service flow each leg: coordinate passenger pickup/drop-off, fueling, customs, private hangar ops, communications, and catering.
• Maintain accurate flight and duty records, confirm eligibility for next assignments, and report maintenance discrepancies promptly.
• Comply with FARs, Company Operations Manual, Ops Specs, SOPs, and policies.
• Contribute to safety and quality systems by identifying and mitigating hazards and quality issues.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum flight experience:

• Mindset: Passion for aviation, growth-oriented, able to commit to one year with Advanced Air.
• Location: Reside within approximately two hours of Hawthorne, CA.

Checks, Training & Currency

• Pass oral/written exam per FAR 135.293(a) within preceding 12 calendar months (Advanced Air Check Airman or FAA representative).
• Complete competency check per FAR 135.293(b) in type within preceding 12 months (Advanced Air Check Airman or FAA Inspector).
• Complete 6-month IFR proficiency check per FAR 135.297.
• Demonstrate enroute, arrival, and departure procedures via enroute check per FAR 135.299.

Physical & Operational Demands

• Work in confined spaces; climb onto/off wings for pre/post-flight or over-wing exits.
• Manipulate, push, pull, and lift heavy objects in excess of 150 lbs; frequently lift at least 50 lbs.
• Use fine digital dexterity during preflight/post-flight tasks.
• Execute legs up to ~4.5 hours; up to 10 flight hours/day within a 14-hour duty period.
• Operate outdoors in all weather with exposure to ramp noise, fumes, dust, and repetitive machinery.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Schedule & Pay

• Roster: 8 Days On / 6 Days Off
• Flight Time: Averages ~65 hours per month
• On-Call: While on duty, remain within ~2 hours of base and fit to fly; on Days Off, no availability expected
• Salary: $91,440 annually
• Per Diem: $3.12 Domestic / $4.16 International (for all flight-duty hours)
