Qualifications

• Experience operating large excavators, especially CAT 352 or larger.
• Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prioritize safety at all times.
• Maintain awareness of work area, including trucks and ground personnel.
• Understand production loading (~350-400cy/hr).
• Cut benches for subsequent passes.
• Operate full buckets with 10+2 positions, 6-8’ cuts.
• Avoid loading towards cabs.
• Maintain level cuts and positive drainage.
• Understand grade stakes and soil types.
• Set cuts level and obey all utility locates—never assume.
• Know OSHA standards for excavations.
• Experience with chop saws and other tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Working Conditions

• Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, climb, and carry materials.
• Exposure to high noise levels on construction sites.
