Job summary

gpac has partnered with a fast-growing, family-oriented engineering firm to hire a Civil Water Resources Engineer I in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on designing water resources and stormwater projects, collaborating with PMs and clients to deliver high-quality solutions, and supporting proposals and technical reports.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 0–4 years of experience, and FE Exam or EIT preferred, with strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 0–4 years of experience in water resources or related field.
  • Passed the FE Exam (EIT preferred).
  • Familiarity with design standards such as AASHTO, MUTCD, APWA, or AWWA.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop water resources and stormwater management projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing project proposals and technical reports.
  • Support design efforts including hydrology/hydraulic modeling and analysis.
  • Conduct field investigations and site inspections as needed.
