Job Overview

Siteworks Inc. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Civil Utilities Foreman to lead field crews on heavy civil construction projects. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for candidates with strong technical knowledge in underground utilities or site grading, and proven experience directing crews, maintaining productivity, and ensuring site safety. You will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, supervising field staff, and delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations for quality and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations and lead construction crews in either utility installation or grading activities.
• Coordinate equipment, labor, and materials to ensure work stays on schedule and within scope.
• Oversee trenching, grading, compaction, utility tie-ins, and backfilling operations.
• Willingness to train and mentor crew members
• Ensure compliance with site plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Communicate daily progress and any issues to project managers or site superintendents.
• Conduct site inspections and toolbox talks to promote safe and efficient work environments.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints and site layout plans.
• Provide hands-on support in pipe laying, earth moving, and finish grading as needed.
• Maintain daily logs of labor, materials, and equipment usage.
• Resolve job site challenges proactively, keeping crews focused and motivated.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience leading crews in heavy civil construction.
• Proficiency in underground utility installation (storm, sewer, water) or grading and earthwork.
• Ability to read blueprints, grades, and site layout documentation.
• Willingness to train and mentor crew members
• Experience operating construction equipment is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to enforcing and upholding safety standards on the job site.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
