Job summary

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Region6 Bridge Maintenance division in Hornell is seeking a Professional Engineer 1 (Civil/Transportation). The role leads project management for bridge projects, coordinates regional bridge crews, develops bridge management plans, and provides professional engineering support.

Reports to the Regional Bridge Maintenance Engineer and may assist with emergency response duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or related field.
• New York State PE license with current registration.
• One year of full-time engineering experience on transportation projects.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage bridge project activities and schedules.
• Coordinate regional bridge crews and field work.
• Develop bridge management plans and technical analyses.
• Provide professional engineering support and emergency response as needed.
