We believe in being the best at what we do—while being kind, accountable, and dedicated to nurturing the potential of every employee.Position SummaryThe Civil Technician plays a critical role in supporting TCE’s telecom construction projects, including new tower builds, modifications, and site development. This hands-on position is responsible for ground preparation, concrete work, trenching, conduit installation, grounding, and general site cleanup.Civil Technicians work closely with Tower, Electrical, and RF teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and in accordance with TCE’s quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the installation and construction of tower foundations, shelters, and site compoundsOperate hand and power tools, skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, and other construction equipmentPerform concrete forming, pouring, and finishingInstall conduit, grounding systems, rebar cages, and fencing as directedLoad, unload, organize, and maintain materials, tools, and equipment at job sitesMaintain a clean and safe work environment while following TCE safety procedures and OSHA standardsWork collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete daily tasks safely and efficientlyTravel to job sites throughout Texas and neighboring states as required; overnight stays may be necessaryPromptly report equipment issues, safety hazards, or site concerns to the Civil ForemanQualificationsExperience: 1–3 years of general construction or civil telecom experience preferredEducation: High school diploma or equivalentCertifications: OSHA 10 required or ability to obtain; First Aid/CPR and CDL are a plusSkills:Basic understanding of concrete work, grading, and underground utilitiesAbility to read site plans and follow construction drawingsStrong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to safely operate light and heavy construction equipmentWillingness and ability to travel and work outdoors in various weather conditionsPhysical RequirementsAbility to regularly lift up to 75 lbs.Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbingAbility to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditionsWhy Join TCECompetitive pay based on experienceTravel per diem and paid lodging for overnight projectsExcellent health, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life and disability benefitsPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities in tower, electrical, and project management career pathsA supportive, family-oriented team environment
