Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a capable Surveyor who can plan and coordinate survey activities across projects, including design phase coordination, drone operations, and documentation. The role requires mentoring the survey team, supporting preconstruction, site setup, and VDC coordination, and travel up to 100%.

Qualified candidates have five years of survey experience and a related degree, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent surveyor experience in construction.
• Minimum five years of survey experience required.
• Driver’s license is required; PLS license not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate design phase survey activities and point layouts.
• Coordinate EOR/third‑party surveyors and validate coordinate systems.
• Support preconstruction, site setup, and VDC coordination.
• Lead drone operations, data upload/processing, and pilot training.
• Develop survey IWPs and maintain project documentation.
• Mentor survey team members and lead survey meetings and trainings.
• Travel up to 100% as needed.
