Job description

We are seeking a USCIS-designated Civil Surgeon to join our healthcare team in Colorado. The Civil Surgeon will be responsible for conducting medical examinations and completing immigration-related medical documentation in compliance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) guidelines. This role requires clinical expertise, attention to detail, and strong patient communication skills.

Base Pay Range

$200.00/hr - $200.00/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform immigration medical examinations as required by USCIS
  • Review medical history, conduct physical examinations, and order or review required laboratory tests and vaccinations
  • Accurately complete and certify USCIS Form I-693 and related documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal immigration health regulations and USCIS policies
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely medical records
  • Communicate findings clearly and compassionately to patients
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, laboratory services, and administrative personnel
  • Stay current with USCIS updates, vaccination requirements, and public health guidelines
  • Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Colorado
  • USCIS designation as a Civil Surgeon
  • Board-certified or board-eligible preferred
  • Strong knowledge of preventive care, vaccinations, and communicable disease screening
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience conducting immigration medical exams
  • Multilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages preferred)
  • Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or public health
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and patient-centered approach
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Outpatient clinic or medical office setting
  • Flexible scheduling options available
Compensation
  • $200/hour and 8-12 hours per week (but flexible)
