Bechtel Corporation in Lake Charles, LA seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead a team of craft professionals on a major LNG project. You will direct field activities, schedule work, and coordinate subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and budget targets.
You will work with Construction Field Engineers and foremen to interpret designs, verify documents, and ensure tools, materials and equipment are available to keep the project productive.
Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid‑scale, mixed‑refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre‑treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000 m³ full‑containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including walking on a construction site in high heat and humidity, climbing ladders and scaffolds, working on elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress) and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.
