Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks Civil, Structural, Bridge, Highway, Water Resources, and Land Planning interns in Albany, NY. Interns will participate in field investigations, design work, drafting, and report writing under a mentor, exploring multiple engineering disciplines.

The program includes training sessions, site visits, and collaboration with experienced teams on diverse projects, with emphasis on professional growth and engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be a student pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
• Good communicator, energetic, and able to work in the office with our engineering staff.
• Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis and design.
• Prepare cohesive and organized engineering calculations.
• Detail and draft using 3D CADD software.
• Assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
• Developing task deliverables for review by a Senior Engineer.
• Performing tasks according to the assigned schedule and budget.
• Working independently under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
• Participate in field inspections of future project locations and active construction sites.
• Assist with report writing.
